I've always loved pastry and pies and here are the vegan and vegetarian ones I have tried so far. In general I find them to mostly be fairly decent.
Pukka: Vegan Minced beef and onion - ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Sold individually / approx £2
I really liked this one. I don't usually buy these because I feel they work a bit more expensive per pie when not on special offer, but I do like them.
Pukka: Vegan Steak - ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Sold individually / approx £2
I found this to have a strange aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on and I can't quite work out of it was from the pastry or the filling.
Pukka: Vegan Chicken and Mushroom - ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Sold individually / approx £2
I found this to have a strange aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on and I can't quite work out of it was from the pastry or the filling.
Quorn: Vegetarian Steak and Gravy Pies - ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Frozen / approx £2.65 for a pack of two
I find these to be very tasty with a nice rich gravy filling. The steak pieces are nice too. These are not vegan so what could have been a five star rating is a four star based on that.
Plant Pioneers (Sainsburys) - No Steak Pies - ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
Frozen / approx £2.80 for a pack of 4 (600g)
These are much better value for money, but not quite as nice as the Quorn steak pies above. These ones do have the bonus of being vegan.
